A letter from the Chair of AARC’s Board of Directors, Ann McCaig:
Dear staff, alumni, family & friends of AARC,
Dr. Jackie Smith will be leaving the Alberta Adolescent Recovery Centre at the end of February 2017.
It has been a wonderful nine years of personal and professional growth for Dr. Smith, including earning her Ph.D. in 2015 and subsequently accepting the position as Director of Community Education and Research. She has given so much to AARC.
Jackie tells us that it has been enormously rewarding to have worked with the AARC Team, clients and their families with the positive outcome of sobriety and family wellness.
We commend Jackie for helping to build excellent relationships and partnerships with an enthusiastic and growing group of external professionals, academics, and AARC stakeholders in the community.
Dr. Smith is looking forward to pursuing new professional and academic opportunities, which will further her career in the broader communities of Calgary and Alberta.
On behalf of the Board of Directors of AARC, and all of Jackie’s colleagues, we wish her all the very best for the future.
With Best Wishes,
M. Ann McCaig
